What is dementia care?

Dementia care is for people living with progressive conditions that affect memory and thinking skills, who can no longer live independently without support.

At Chase House, dementia care is planned around each person, their routines and what matters to them. Our trained staff understand how important it is to eat well and stay hydrated, and they support residents living with dementia to enjoy their food. Because we also provide nursing and end of life care, residents can often stay at Chase House as their needs change, without having to move to another care home.

Residents live in a home that dates back to the 1850s, with high-ceilinged bedrooms, most with en-suite facilities, and secure gardens with water features, a sensory garden, and animal and bird enclosures. They’re welcome to bring their own furniture where space allows.
